About the Writer
James Gianetti’s style of storytelling abandons formula writing, integrates elements of magical realism, and follows the traditions of postmodern literature. His stories and work have been published in places like SmokeLong Quarterly, Fatal Flaw, Hobart, Crow Name, and Hearth & Coffin where he received an editor’s choice award. His short story “The Stray” was a quarterfinalist in the Driftwood Press In-House Short Story Contest. His novelette, “Calvin Klein” is due out this spring from ELJ Editions. Beyond writing, James holds an M.A. in special education and teaches middle school in New Jersey.
